United Cricket Club (Counties Manukau) Incorporated held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday, 8th August 2016 at Murphy's Law, Drury. It marked the end of an era as a trio of the Club's stalwarts who had been holding the key positions in the Club's Executive Committee with a brilliant track record made way for the next generation with a view to infuse fresh blood & fresh ideas to take the club forward. The trio has done a stellar job for the club over the last 14 years - Mike Bongard has been exemplary in the roles of Club President & Vice President, Rick Eastham has been equally solid as the Club Vice President & Secretary and Tim Edmonds has been extremely efficient & proactive in his role as the Club Treasurer. Apart from these Three Wise Men (as the members fondly refer to them), Debs Eastham who has been extremely efficient as the Club Secretary over the last few years, has also made way for the next generation. Mike, Rick & Tim will still be actively involved with the club, guiding the new Managing Committee as the Club Trustees as well as being part of the Marauders and the Old Boys Committee.

The AGM also marks the beginning of a new era for the Club under the able stewardship of Matthew Mudford as the Club President/Chairman and Jonny Lawrence as the Club Vice President, both of whom will lead a predominantly young team of office-bearers with a vision to take the club to the next level & consolidate the gains made under the Bongard-Eastham-Edmonds trio.
