The United Cricket Club Senior B Marauders have entered the Final of the Counties Manukau Cricket Association's Reserves Grade One Day Championship after beating Pukekohe Blue Ducks by nine wickets on Saturday, 17th March 2018. Their bonus-point win against the Pukekohe Blue Ducks Reserves took them to 27 points on the Points Table, the same as Tuakau Reserves but they earned the entry to the Final as a result of a better Net Run Rate than Tuakau.
The Marauders will face Manukau City Cricket Club Senior B Red who topped the table with 39 points. The Final will be held on Saturday, 24th March 2018 at War Memorial Park A3 in Manurewa from 1:00pm onwards.
United Cricket Club's other team in this grade, the Auto Plus Senior B Thumpers will face Tuakau at Lightbody Reserve, Tuakau in the 3rd place play-off at the same time. The remaining two teams in the championship, Manukau City Cricket Club Reserves & Pukekohe Metro Blue Ducks, will face-off at War Memorial Park A4 for the 5th place.
The United Cricket Club's Working Committee & all the members wish the Marauders (led by Rick Eastham, Jamie Wells & Oliver Muir) good luck for the Final! Bring the Stoupe Cup home, lads!
