Change In Reserve One Group-splitting Criteria

19 Feb 2009

Counties Manukau Cricket Association (CMCA) has decided to change the criteria for splitting the teams into two groups of four after the end of the double round-robin league on Saturday 21st February '09. Originally, it had been decided that the teams ranked 1, 3, 5 & 7 will be placed in one group & those ranked 2, 4, 6 & 8 will form the other group. But, in fairness to the weaker teams, CMCA have decided to place the top four teams (Karaka Storage King XI, Papakura, Weymouth & Mauku) in one group & the bottom four teams (United, Manukau, Pukekohe Metro & Karaka Red) in the other group. Each team will play the other three teams in the same group once, the draw for which will be available soon on www.cmcricket.co.nz as well as on this website.
