United Cricket Club (Counties Manukau) Incorporated

A good number of existing players from the three club teams as well as some new recruits attended the first pre-season indoor training session at Action Indoor Sports, Manukau on Sunday, 20th September '09. The session was run by Northern Districts coach Steve Davies who shared his vast knowledge of the various aspects of the game with the players. Steve was pretty impressed with the overall standard of performance. The players were glad to get an opportunity to shed some off-season rust and utilised it to the max getting some useful batting and bowling practice under their belts, with the bowling machine in operation on one of the three tracks.

The players who missed out due to prior commitments can take heart from the fact that Steve Davies will be back with the United CC squad on Sunday, 27th September '09 at their homeground, Drury Sports Complex from 1:00pm to 3:00pm for an outdoor session.
