Fielding first, the Marauders started well collecting both the openers, then things fell wayside with Strathallan batting shots all over the park. The only main highlight of our fielding was a spectacular catch from Mikey Flett to remove the danger batsman for 54. Strathallan amassing a huge 224 after 40 overs.
Owen Ford (42) opened the batting with Mike Bongard (23) and got off to a flyer, with some great two's, three's and four's being hit in quick time. It looked very promising that the Mauraders were to fly home, but as per usual wickets fell at the wrong time, and we fell short by 25 runs giving Strathallan there first win, and giving the Marauders a much needed reality check.
