Blue Ducks too "Quacky" for the Mighty Marauders

13 Feb 2010

Batting first, United put on 198/9 after 40 overs, with Shane O'Neill top scoring with 76. Puke Metro replied with Westie being bowled off a beauty by our "fill-in" player Bharat Oberoi, nicknamed Baza for 5 on the 4th ball he faced.(Baza got 4 wickets for United on debut!) This led to a mini collapse, seeing Puke Metro 62/4. With a possible win in sight for United, things again went rather wayward with the bowling dishing out 30+ wides. Some good batting from the middle order saw Puke Metro home with 3 wickets to spare. United are well out of reckoning for the top two for the season now.
