BUY RIGHT CARS UNITED CC SENIOR A OFF TO A WINNING START IN THE 2011-12 ONE DAY CHAMPIONSHIP

Defending champions United CC Buy Right Cars Senior A opened their 2011-12 CMCA One Day Championship defence with a resounding 71-run victory over Mauku CC at Drury Sports Complex on Saturday, 22nd October 2011. With regular skipper Harley Bayliss still out of action due to injury, his deputy Josh Burgess took over the mantle of captaincy in the season-opener, which also saw Owen Ford making his Senior A debut. 

The brief scores were as follows:
United CC Buy Right Cars Senior A 
149 all out in 47 overs - Neal McIntosh 37, Thomas Raybould 26, Ronan Ricketts 4/27, K. Barnes 3/19

Mauku CC
78 all out in 29 overs - Kane Needham 20, Dean Ross 3/22, Callum Jude 2/7, Anthony Brookes 2/18, Thomas Raybould 2/26.
