Due to a mis-communication between Counties Manukau Cricket Association (CMCA) and Mauku Cricket Club, CMCA had earlier announced that Mauku would field a team to replace Karaka in the Reserves grade with immediate effect, but it has now confirmed that Mauku will start playing on January 28th. However, their first two games on Jan 28th and Feb 5th will have no points allocated, being part of the second round. At the beginning of round three on February 11th, as they will be playing a full round, normal championship points will be available for both teams involved in their matches.
CMCA has further announced that due to the United CC Discount Panel & Paint Marauders' withdrawal from the Twenty20 competition & Mauku's late entry, there will only be four teams in the competition. As a result, the Reserves Twenty20 competition will now start a week later on 14th January instead of 7th January and will end on 21st January.
The freshly-altered Twenty20 draw will be posted by CMCA on their website in due course.
