Playing at home, United CC won the toss & put Karaka in to bat. Some sharp bowling by the opening bowlers Liam Jackson (4-0-9-2) & Josh Anderson (6-1-21-4), aided by some equally impressive overs by Ronit Ghaiee (3-1-3-0), Rajat Malhotra (2-0-7-0), Callum Jude (3-0-10-1) & Michael Gordon (1.3-0-4-1) & supported by brilliant all-round fielding, skittled the visitors for 54 off 19.3 overs.

In reply, after a first-up maiden, the openers Rajat Malhotra & Lee Ter Huurne went after the bowling & lifted the score to 23 in the next two overs. Both of them holed out to point off consecutive balls in the fourth over, without any addition to the score. Deepak Bhakoo & Josh Anderson took the score to 34, when the former mistimed a shot to be caught at square leg. Josh & next man Ian Adamson took the score to 52, when the latter lobbed one back to the bowler, highlighting the lack of net practice as the cause of all four dismissals caused by mistimed shots. Without any further loss, Josh & new man Callum Jude finished-off the job, with 6 wickets & 34.4 overs to spare. A COMPREHENSIVE WIN IN THE END !!! GO, UNITED !!!
