In a telephonic chat with the Reserve One captain Deepak Bhakoo, Counties Manukau Cricket Association (CMCA) official Owain Jenkins has given details about the fixtures for the grade for the rest of the season. According to him, after the current round (which finishes on 27th February '10), there will be two weeks of non-competition matches (6th & 13th March), the draw for which will be posted on the CMCA website before the end of February. Thereafter, on 20th March, the semi-finals for the grade will be held, with the top team playing the #4 team, while the #2 team will take on the #3 team. The two winners will play the Final on 27th March '10.

Going by the current standings of the teams on the ladder, it is almost certain that the joint-third United CC Reserve One team will take on either the current leaders Waiuku or the second-placed Weymouth in the semi-final, with Mauku being the fourth team qualifying for the semi-final round. Manukau & Karaka won't be able to make it to the semis even if they win both their respective matches. With the semi-finalists already determined, the only significance of the two remaining matches in the current round will be to determine the semi-final opponents.
