"TAP AND THEY WILL COME" KEG KILLERS REVIEW

28 May 2012

The day broke fine and calm and the majority that were going to travel on the "TAP AND THEY WILL COME TOUR" assembled at Murphy's Irish Bar at the prescribed time (10:30am)
Tour Leader Pagey handed out the attire that is compulsory on these events and this year it was the turn of Bucket hats and T-Shirts, he then explained the programme for this years tour and we were off.

First stop Indoor Cricket at Manukau, where we picked -up an extra member of the party (Fraser who was looking slightly worse for wear but at least he fronted -up)
We managed to play an abridged game of cricket where the lowest partnership of the game had a compulsory skull (hard luck Fraser just what you needed after the night before)

..."To Town"... was the call from our illustrious Leader and that was where we headed, Bruce had booked most of the boys into a waterfront Hotel the Copthrone and the full group gathered at the house bar to enjoy some pre-entertainment drinks (courtesy of some of the free drink vouchers they had received when booking in) Entertainment for tonight.....Comedy Festival ..!!

We gathered our strength and off we went, along the way Pagey and D.G played "hosts of the most" and invited a couple of Australian Sheila's along for the ride and to join us for the show.... truth was Pagey was really getting rid of the spare tickets the "no shows had created"
Our first stop, Vulcan Lane and the "Queen Ferry" (supposed oldest Pub in Auckland) and you guessed it .."just a couple of quiets"..

On reaching our goal the Town Hall, we showed our tickets and in we went...
Well if a transvestite stand-up comedian was your cup of tea then you would have been right at home, this Pom didn't like anyone linked with sports and certainly didn't like any feed back from the audience ..a 'D'....
Most of the group ended up joining 'D' in the bar half way through the show, however some of us thought a bit of down time was at hand and snoozed their way through it... a 'Ricko'..

Show over we head back down Queen Street,  in the end we found ourselves back in Vulcan Lane. After final rounds and good-byes all that were catching trains back to Counties Country departed the group for the Britomart.

A Big Thumbs-Up and thank-you to Pagey for all his efforts..equally a Big Thumbs-Down to those who said they would turn-up and never did (Chucky wasn't impressed)

.."Better luck next year Johnny"......

....Signed THE PAW....
