Marauders at Opaheke Reserve
The Marauders were the first team to christen the clubs new home ground at the Opaheke Reserve last Saturday (14/11/15)
Although the boys didn't celebrate the clubs first match at the ground with a win, all involved were impressed with the feel, outlook and setting.
With stage one complete we have (at present) x 2 artificial ovals established there, and also in the process of developing a grass wicket block due to be up and running in the next year or so (sooner the better we are hoping) All this bodes well as we are a fully fledged premier club now.
We have been working closely with Mr Michael Turner (Board Member) along with other council staff as this ground has evolved, and can see a great future here as other developments continue - Ablution/Changing rooms and practice nets to name a few...
Although our presence at the complex (for now) is still important, we are very fortunate to be able to to call this Reserve our home as it allows us plenty of room to expand and grow.
