Match report Batting first, the Marauders were able to get off to a great start with 50 being brought up in the first 10 overs with R Eastham and S O'Neill opening. Carrying on in the same vein, they were 105 at the 20-over mark, losing Eastham in the process for 37. With AJ Stewart (88) and S O'Neill (85) at the crease, the pair knocked ball for ball to take the score to 228. With A Geck, N Moa, C Farnell and T Edmonds helping out, the Marauders scored 272/5 after 40 overs.
Manukau City started off in a similar fashion chasing over 7 runs an over, and started to lose wickets with N Moa bowling the first three. With assistance from C Farnell chipping in with three wickets, Manukau were chasing at over 12 an over at the 20-over point. Their tail-enders put on 69 but fell short, being bowled out for 185.
